Questions about Vienna

What does Vienna taste like?

Vienna is a dark roast blend of Brazilian and Colombian coffees, with notes of dark caramel, bittersweet chocolate and toasted nut.

Is Vienna good for espresso?

It makes a bold, chocolatey shot, but we roast it for drip and French press. For a dedicated espresso, try Brooklyn Black Espresso.

What's the best way to brew Vienna?

Vienna is at its best in drip and French press. Start with about 2 tablespoons of ground coffee per 6 oz of water and adjust to taste.

Is Vienna good for cold brew?

Yes. Dark roasts make a rich, low-acid cold brew. Use a coarse grind and steep 12 to 18 hours.

Can I buy Vienna ground?

Yes. Choose whole bean, or the grind for how you brew, when you add it to your cart. We roast to order in Brooklyn.
